Health Services: Oconee Memorial Hospital, 2.5 miles from Cross Creek Plantation, is one of the most modern medical facilities in the region. The 160-bed facility provides a full range of general services as well as special care units. A 24-hour EMS service operates from the hospital.

Area Shopping: Within close proximity of Cross Creek you will find an abundance of shopping opportunities. The Dogwood Plaza, Applewood Shopping Center located a few minutes from Cross Creek, and house supermarkets, department stores and pharmacies. Greenville and Spartanburg, about an hour away, provide numerous shopping malls and outlet stores.

Seneca, SC Transportation: Greenville/Spartanburg Jetport is 45 miles from Cross Creek. Small aircraft may use Oconee-Clemson Airport, which is 6 miles from Seneca. Travel by rail is accessible through Amtrak, with services from Clemson. Cross Creek is accessible to I-85 (see map).

Recreation: Lakes Keowee, Hartwell, and Jocassee, the wild and scenic Chattooga River, Whitewater Falls, the Blue Ridge mountains, and nearby forests offer a wealth of recreational opportunities. Or, perhaps you're a history buff. Oconee County is steeped in history. From the John C. Calhoun home in Clemson to the gracious antebellum homes of Pendleton, there are several sites of interest within a few minutes' drive from Cross Creek. The Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University attracts big-name performers. There are seven local theater groups, and if you're a music lover there's every sound from classical concerts at Clemson's Tilman Hall to the hand-clapping, knee-slapping, mountain music at Oconee State Park.
